With over 20 years of experience in general contracting, Master Carpenter Lyman Gilbert built his career on quality craftsmanship, reliability, and strong client relationships. In 2008, he founded LG Building & Remodeling, growing it from a small, family-run operation into a well-established Connecticut company employing skilled local craftsmen and craftswomen.
In 2024, Lyman proudly acquired Lavorgna Kitchens from his longtime friend and colleague John A. Lavorgna, continuing the brand’s tradition of exceptional kitchen design and construction while bringing expanded building expertise under one roof.
Earlier in his career, Lyman worked with Hobbs, Inc., managing large-scale construction projects for major clients—experience that sharpened his ability to oversee complex projects with precision and efficiency.
Lyman is a member of Contractor Nation’s School of Entrepreneurship and the former President and Chief of the Southbury Volunteer Firemen’s Association, where he served his community for decades. Outside of work, he enjoys snowmobiling, traveling, and attending NASCAR races with his family.
